FREE to good home, male blue opaline budgie

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I'm new here! I hope I'm posting this in the right place, apologies if not.
My friends and I found a budgie in our local park in east London, UK, a couple of weeks ago. We've made every effort to find his owners, sadly to no avail. I was going to leave it a bit longer longer, but we're off to Austria in two weeks, and then my husband's family are visiting from Turkey as soon as we're back, so we will have a full house! I have been letting the date get away from me so now I'm going to try and re-home him asap.
He is a gorgeous little bird, very tame, though slightly more flighty than when he first arrived, but you can tell he has been hand tamed and will step up. As far as I can tell he is a sky blue opaline spangle, but you may want to correct me on that as I don't really know much about budgies!
I want to advertise him on here because I trust people on bird specific forums to be sensible and trustworthy folk who now what they're doing. I keep lovebirds so I appreciate how much effort and time birds need and I don't want to give him away to just anyone. Also, I think he needs to go to a place where there are other budgies as he seems lonely. I'm not willing to put an ad on Gumtree or anything similar, simply because any old person could take him and I want him to go to a good place and permanent home.
So I have put him in a big wooden framed cage, which is a spare of our own. I'm happy to give it away with him because it is damaged a little, but stands perfectly well. I'm not selling him as he was found, so I can't charge! Let me know if you are interested, or know anyone who might be.
Please, I ask that only serious people who will give this little guy a good loving home with other birds get in touch.
See some pics below
Thank you!

He is a beauty - I started off with budgies - unfortunately the caiques are very nasty to smaller birds so I couldn't give him a safe home. Good luck and hope he finds a good family to take him in.

Hi there,

Just to let you all know I've found a good home for little Budge!

A lady with a lonely female is going to take him as a companion for her bird :)

All's well that ends well!
