Well hello there!

Recommended Posts

Well as you can see I'm back...the loungeroom is painted, a lovely shade of light purple on one wall, and the other three buttrcup yellow, the same colour scheme is repeated in the hall way. Everything is back in the room ,exept for Dusty's day cage. It's still in the dining room.

I planned the painting to coincide with my beloved Yorkshire Puddin's annual visit to Sydney *** and Lesbian Mardi Gras, but that week coincided with a whole week of unrelenting heat, no day was less than 35, mostly the days were 39 or 40. Preping the walls, and painting without the air-con (to prevent the paint fumes being pushed into the rooms the birds were) in that heat was ...horrid!

My Yorkshire Puddin had a great time, was in the Spenser Tunic nude shoot on the Sydney Opera House, saw the Mardi Gras parade from a grandstand spot with food and drink laid on..She also went for walks all over Sydney, on one of these walks she discovered a colony of Fruit Bats, who proceeded to threaten to pee on her from on high. She also saw wild Sulphur Crested Cockies, wandering about, sitting in the trees and chucking stuff at her, or digging huge holes in the lawn...so thinking of us, she took photos. I'll post them when I can.

It's good to be back, I DID miss you lot!

Well today we moved Dusty's cage back into the lounge where it normally is, just about 2 feet from the computer, and some other smaller bits of furniture..so we're almost back to normal. Rewiring Dusty's cage took so long tonight I haven't had time to post those promised pics..but maybe tomorrow.

These sulphur crested cockies were in the Sydney Botanical Garden, when my partner saw them the first time they were chewing "lion traps" in the lawn, when she returned to take a photo the little stinkers stayed up in the trees and threw bits of tree at her!

These are Flying Foxes who have a roosting tree in the gardens, they pee there all the time and because of this they are killing the trees, so the authorities are trying to shift them by gentle means. Odd loud noises, sirens etc. The Yorkshire Puddin' was very concerned they wouldn't pee on her.

Well here you go pics of the loungeroom. They came out a tiny bit duller than in real life, but you get the idea, the middle purple is more like the real colour.
