Hi all,

What a great site just what we need!

We have a young Grey who has been with us since 16 weeks of age. She's (he's :? ) a beautiful, friendly bird who's always after a bit of fuss and attention and into everything

I've got lots to ask but will be spending some time having a good read up on here first!

Well maybe just the one question first, pippy900 where can I get a play rope like mojo and shinda have miley would love it :D

Hi and welcome!

Actually the length of rope I just bought from a ships chandler, cost £16.

Then I went to Pets At Home and Shoots Garden Centre and bought things to hang from it! :D

I've also got a bungee going from the rope up to another hook in the ceiling.

I suppose in total I've spent about £100 on that play area (not all in one go though) and it's been worth every penny as they love playing up there!

Thanks for all the replies and welcomes!

My babys called miley (MY-Lee) my daughter named her on the way back from picking her up, Birmingham to Rhyl and back on a Sunday afternoon gave her plenty of time to think about it

Great thanks for the reply, I thought it might have been bought as a kit but that sounds easy enough to do :) What diametre rope is would be best for this?

I will post some pics as soon as possible, hopefully with our new play area

My birds have slightly special perching requirements as they both have toes/bits of toes missing so I had to buy rope narrow enough for them to be able to wrap any longer toes around but wide enough for them to be able to balance on!

Best to ask others what size/type they'd recommend for 'normal Greys!

Looking forward to seeing pics of the finished project! :D
