Winter

Recommended Posts

I was talking to a fellow breeder about the joys, or otherwise, of bird-keeping in winter. We both agreed that it is odd but birds really do look super fit in cold weather, despite what we may think. Today the temp has risen by about 7 degrees and I've two prs of Pionus( Maxi and Blue-headed) displaying to each other and a pr of Amazons trying to attack me!

Why did I worry?

I noticed that our Eclectus ***** were out in the flights no matter how cold it has been. But the hens have been hiding in the nest boxes most of the time untill today...... Now today they were out in the flights as well, nagging the *****

Me thinks that the ***** were secretly enjoying their solitude in the cold weather
