dplamplo 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2008 Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone can help me, i am looking to buy my dad an egg incubator for xmas but cannot afford a couple of hundred pounds. Can your regular chicken incubator hatch parrot eggs or do you need to buy a special parrot hatching incubator?? I have seen a few on ebay for around £50, will they do the trick? Thankyou for your help in advance.

dplamplo 0 Report post Posted November 29, 2008 It is more a precaution than anything else, we have a lot of young pairs of parrots and as much as i'd love all our mummy parrots to incubate them, there is a strong chance that she may not with her first lot. David 41 Report post Posted November 29, 2008 Although I've only ever incubated a few hens eggs I think that a good incubator will incubate any eggs. The only difference between hens eggs and parrot eggs is the value?
Alemap 1 Report post Posted November 29, 2008 Is that really so david, ive never incubated any eggs but was told parrot eggs are harder to hatch than hens and also that cockatoos are among the easiest parrot eggs to hatch.
