Recommended Posts

"Good little cleaner uppers"?

Can someone please explain what is meant by this?

My lot waste so much food and my hoover bags fill so quickly...

Have I missed an environmentally friendly option?

CPQ (Chinese Painted Quail)are often kept in the bottom of aviaries to use the waste seed from finches. It is not a good idea to keep them near parrotlike birds due to the parasites they may carry.

They are lovely birds and mine came free from eggs on the floor from a local pet centre!

I've got them in my aviary with my cockatiels and finches. They do a great job, but I think perhaps I feed them too much anyway as they are getting very, very round  The babies I'm looking to rehome are from eggs I found on my aviary floor. Nobody was taking an interest in them so I brought them inside and popped them into the incubator. Kids are really not happy that we are having to rehome them, but after trying them in the aviary today and seeing the male chasing them around I know that we have no other choice  They are really cute and I would have loads of them if they got on, but you can only have 1 male
