Maurizio 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2007 Do you feed red band pigeon conditioner to your parrots? I remember reading it somewhere. If so, would you just feed it as it is or soaked/sprouted? Thanks

rubytoo 79 Report post Posted October 31, 2007 I just googled it and saw a picture. I used to buy it and soak/sprout it for our birds, before I started buying from DD. (I use the parakeet soak mix for our 'tiel and 'toos.) The red band had an aniseed smell so I assume it has it in, and added minerals/vitamins, I just found that out while googling it. May be worth checking out the list of ingredients and what else is added to make sure of how to use it for parrot types. Especially if you give your own supplements. Can't see anything wrong with giving it, though I never knew it had added vits! Though if you soaked it I am guessing it would probably wash them off, as supplements on seeds are on the surface (totally useless really lol if the bird de husks).
