Photos to GIFs or JPG

If you right click on the image on your pc, then click "edit", it will then come up with the image in paint, go to "file", "save as" then in the drop down box where it says "save as type", change that to jpeg or whatever you are using, click save and hey presto its done.

If the quality of the images are already in GIF format you will not get any improvement by converting them to .jpg. If posting on the Internet you may as well leave them in .gif as more often than not they are of a smaller file size.

The only benefit in converting to .jpg depending on which graphic package you're using you can degrade the quality for proofs.

 

Otherwise paint will save your photos in different formats but obviously doesn't have the output quality of a graphic package, recommend using something like GIMP:
