Butternut squash seeds

I'm in the mid of roasting some butternut squash sticks for the gang and have the seeds leftover. Just wondered if they were safe to eat if so do i need roast them like pumpkin seeds?? I did a search but nothing has come up opther than the main bits.

The caiques will eat these raw - I never actually thought of roasting them (sounds too much like cooking to me! :wink: ). I also just let them have the pumpkin seeds raw. They aint complained or keeled over so far! :D :shock:

Brilliant - I didn't realise you didn't have to cook pumpkin seeds, the birds like them roasted but i will definately try them raw as it's less hassle and probably better for them.
