I agree with you Greg totally.

    National rescue service

We do rescue parrots but often we are full and financially it is hard, we don't take financial donations and we try to find homes for the birds rather than keeping them unless we have too. We never breed and never would let anyone breed. We are trying to get a treatment room built and have a different vets work for us to treat parrots at cost. We don't mind inspections and have had a few, as far as allowing public to visit we do not as we are not here to show birds, also there is the issue of security too. 3. Disclaimer...."This has been selectedly edited and is my own beliefs....make your own minds up" I dont want to sound negative, but I do know of a few people who are members of a certain uk dog club using these collar on collies. I am so against any animal suffering, causing them pain or neglecting them. I now longer bother with the certain uk dog club or a certain uk parrot society as I find them campaigning against issues but some of their members doing such practices and doing nothing about practices themselves. I was told to contact the RSCPA if I had concerns regarding their members, yet these people remain members of such organisations and advertise being members as some kind of reference to sell animals. What are your thoughts..... personally I am appalled, sickened and disgusted by such a response from them. Why not put some money aside and use to set up a department that can go and follow up and check, cancel membership, it would stop other people considering doing the same.
  4. Just to clear some confusion members may have. Willow's Parrotdise has nothing to do with the NPS, the Parrot Zoo or Lornajane56. Also we did not ask Lornajane56 to post us anything on Parrot-link. She had seen the adverts elsewhere and posted them on here independently of us knowing. We thank Lornajane56 for doing this, with the right intention of helping the lost parrots to being reunited with their rightful owners. Many Thanks, Zed & Kay

    Found A/Grey North Shields

We managed to find the owner from Gateshead the people who's garden it was captured in sadly will not hand him back but least the mystery for the owner is solved. Sadly not the out come we wanted, now rehoming another parrot with the orginal owner. This may be worth a read ....IF YOU FIND A PARROT ('ownership'): http://www.parrot-link.co.uk/topic/6873-if-you-find-a-parrot-ownership/ We have tried all avenue including police who sadly aren't willing to help and just caused bother as the guy who kept the parrot has a friend in the Police. We got acussed of trying to get the parrot to pass it on to someone we know..... which isn't the case at all.. the parrot said certain words which are not common and the owner confirmed them. Like hitting your head against a brick wall. Problem is the orginal owner did not file a lost report, only after he found out it was his bird. Often we get calls from the Police regarding parrots sighted as we do go and capture them to return them to their owners, when we find them.

  10. Our parrot was sighted today is happy and dandy, we went placed cage and food in a garden. But sadly she spoke to us and then decided to fly away. We hope we can get her. But least we know that she is well. Our concern was the few days of rain we had.
