Mark is the only person that feeds him...mark spends the most time with perry whilst he is in his cage....but as soon as he is out he just seems to make a bee line for mark...it wasnt that long ago that perry flew at mark and took a chunk out of the back of his head and that was for being too close to me we think{mark walked past me in the living room when perry was out flying around} We have perserverd for a few months but to no avail.

We cant say we havent tried...mark even suggested keeping him and whilst he is out of his cage at night he would go and mess about with his motorbike in the shed but i dont think that is fair on mark...and it wouldnt be fair to keep perry caged..

We have come to the decision that we have gotta sell perry as he was hanging of the end of marks thumb yesterday{its a mess}. The thing is he is getting unpredictable and only attacks mark,me and kieron can do pretty much what we want with him,so i dont believe he is attached to female people. The trouble is i dont know what kind of price to ask for and i dont just want him to end up with people that will not appreciate what they have bought and that smoke.Perry has two cages that will go with him so any advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks This is not a For Sale ad .... please do not respond to it as such, thanks folks (MadMudMob)
  8. Just a quick line to say that we are still perservering with perry and he is still domminating our lives..lol.We have got him trained as how we get him in his cage...we show him a monkey nut and say come on perry time for bed, then he just goes into his cage through the open top... .He still aint very friendly towards mark but they tolerate each other a bit more now although he will still attack mark if he goes too close to his cage. What we cant understand is why he will take food out of marks hand but he still as a tendency to have a lunge at mark. Also perry still as a tendancy to attack fingers although i can do a lot of things with him he still as his moments....but i think perry and mark dont realy trust each other and mark wont let perry land on him because he just dont trust him enough and he as seen the nasty pictures of the bites people have sufferd. Thanks JEP
  9. Hi j kay we have a grey that sounds simular to yours as we cant do anything with him either.....he seems to be controling us....

Mmmmm not so good today as perry as had mark on the back of the neck..
  11. the bitting has been cut back, but he seems to do strange things that set him off he will go onto his back and snap at you whilst he is allready holding onto your top he jumps onto our sholders and when we say "off" and lean down for him to get off, he leans over to our chest and launches at our hands (he only ever attacks hands, even though we have never used our hands to provock or hurt him) also we have noticed something which really annoys us. He will never go into his cage we have to put him away about 20 mins early just so he can go in on time. when we get him close he just flies away. either to the back of the computer chair, or the back of the sette, or some1's sholder again. it gets so annoying when he wont go in and you need him to go in erjently, can we get any help on getting him to go in without the 20 minute arguement? Kieron P.S we give him a treat every time he goes into his cage to show he has done something good, aswell as congratulating him vocally by saying "Good Boy".
  12. Funnily enough i have wonderd this but thought i would seek advice first
  13. Thanks for that MMM it gives me piece of mind...
  14. SORRY TO HIJACK THIS THREAD A LITTLE BUT We have noticed that there seems to be a few of the fluffy like down type feathers in perrys cage,it doesnt look like he is plucking and he shouldnt be board as he has mark to entertain him all day....lol. What i was wondering was is it some{fluffy} down feathers that was there or are these the type of feathers that keep him warm at night{in the wild}. I was also wondering is it a malting thing or that time of year bearing in mind perry is only 6 mths old. cheers mark

Hi everyone hope you all had a good time over the festive period... Right where do i start,if anything i would say things are as bad if not a little worse and sometimes just comical.Perry just doesnt seem to like mark at all {they are ok together if there on there own} because when he steps up onto marks hand when he gets perry out of his cage he will attack marks hand before flying off. Mark cannot even go anywhere near perry when he is out of his cage as he will puff himself up and sort of threaten to launch himself at mark.Picture this scene perry's cage is on the table, mark walks past the cage and perry runs at mark all puffed up across the top of his cage,it looked so comical but i dread to think what damage he would have done to marks head if he had caught him as he walked past. Also perry as took to landing on my shoulders{i make him get of pretty quick as we dont trust him on shoulders} and having a lunge at my neck or my hands when i put them up to my neck, sometimes he does seem a little aggresive with me. We can only seem to have perry out of his cage when our son kieron is about as he seems to be the only person that can do anything with perry, but he will have a go at kieron if he as had enough of him like he did the other day on kierons hand and broke the skin. But we are perservearing and still working at getting him to do things our way.
