Hi again, When you buy the rings, Avian Biotech will send you all instructions and necessary equipment to collect the blood - I do this by cutting the bird's toenail (this can be tricky!), and a blood sample can then be sent to them on the blotting paper they provide. It gets easier with practice! I have sold two babies and now have only one left (plus more eggs - so more babies will be arriving soon!) Hope that helps! Thank you
Hi, sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I buy the rings from Avian Biotech in Cornwall, and they also sex the birds - I send a blood sample and they test the bird's DNA. I use closed rings - size V - which are recommended for African Greys, and have them inscribed. Thanks for your nice comments about my birds!
