  1. It may be worth checking http://www.sos.org.uk/index.php?option=com_jobline4&Itemid=10 bird watchers are often the first to see these escaped birds.

A Jew and an Arab go into a bakery. The Arab steals 3 pastries and puts them in his pocket. He says to the Jew, "See how good I am? The owner didn't see anything!" The Jew says to the Arab, "I'm going to show you there's nobody better than a Jew." He goes up to the owner and says, "Give me a pastry and I'll show you a magic trick.'' Intrigued, the owner accepts and gives him a pastry. The Jew swallows it and asks for another one. The owner gives him another one. Then the Jew asks for another one and swallows it just the same. The owner is starting to wonder where the magic trick is and says, "What did you do with the pastry? The Jew answers "Look in the Arab's pocket."
  3. Hi Brooke, my chickens from the eggs you sent still alive and laying well.
  4. There were English bred unrelated prs on parrot 4sale last year, and they were not from the member on here who has them so thats at least 2 people who have them in the uk and you can bet your life there are more. They come up for sale quite often in Europe.
  5. Strange it works when i click it was just trying to show the egg my pr laid.

  7. Is there any updates, did these birds materialise.
  8. There is one person in France who has them in his collection (Olivier) - They do not belong to him, they are on breeding loan from Mulhouse Zoo. It would be interesting to get proof of them birds - Only three people have ever legally exported them from South Africa - John Spence in the 80's these are the Mulhouse Loropark birds, Sass Du Toit (Martin Guths partner in SA) these are the Germany birds then me who sent to the Netherlands. The big issue is that people all over the world call the Grey Head a Cape. This is my SA friends reply, i find this quite an interesting subject as i have also been offered these in the past and could never be sure if they were genuine.
  9. Can't be true must be the subspecies. Robustus only in Germany - Martin Guth (6), Netherlands (4), and the rest in France (Mulhouse Zoo) + Loro Park (16 between them). Will you get to see them ever in person? This is the reply from the South African breeder when i told him there were Robustus for sale in Europe.
  10. It is also important to setup a viable population overseas - Currently there are 26 TRUE robustus in the EU. The sad fact is that the nominate species is going to go extinct in the wild - There is too much against them. Copied from a south african breeder.
  11. My Redfront macaws are kept in 20ft long x5ft wide x 8ft high aviaries, they are fed on sprouted seeds and pulses, premium parrot mix and mixed nuts. The rest really is up to the birds, courtship was long and mating was daily for around 2 months before they laid. Hopefully next year my other pr may lay and i will be able to offer unrelated prs for sale.
  12. Both babies now left the nest box. This is the older chick.
  13. 1st baby left the nest quite late this evening but looks fine on security cameras, aged 10wks and 2days. will get some pics tomorrow. :)
