Thank goodness it landed on someones shoulder so it can be looked after till its owners are found. At least being a macaw is not a native bird of your country. There's a rainbow lorakeet been found in one of the suburbs here and advertised in the local paper, these things are not native to my state, yet as we have a large feral population they might as well be native. The point is if you lose a pet bird here you have the double difficulty of people realising it IS a pet bird not a wild one.

Hi, I'm new to posting, but check into this forum regularly - I saw on the Lost/Found registry that a macaw had been registered as lost in Dunfermline, Fife on 2nd Feb. - could be the owner of this wee bird?

yes, thanks Karen - sorry for confusion. I haven't seen or heard anything more about this so not sure if the bird's owner has been located.
